ECO1 is an environmental non governmental organisation (NGO) formed in
2007 by Guyanese wanting to do more to protect the integrity
of the natural environment, to heighten environmental awareness and promote environmental and social
sustainability in Guyana. Mission Statement ECO1 aims to: - Champion the cause of environmental sustainablity and sustainable lifestyles;
- Heighten awareness of environmental issues and an appreciation of the natural environment;
- Research, develop and apply green technologies;
- Investigate environmental issues and trends;
- Target youth in environmental awareness and sustainability;
- Assist organisations and sections of society in various aspects of sustainability and environmental management
